WHO CAN RIDE A SKIBOB?
Skibob riding can be learned by everyone who wants to learn it. From the beginner to the profi rider, regardless of age. With our special learning methods we can learn skibob riding to people with physical or mental disabilities. Even people with partial or even complete paraplegia can ride the skibob model “QUAN”.
For every skibob student we have a suitable skibob and of course the right skibob teaching method.
HOW FAST CAN YOU LEARN RIDING A SKIBOB?
HOBBY RIDER
Basic knowledge: between one day and four days. With average physical fitness.
RIDER WITH DISABILITY – SNOWBIKE BARRIER-FREE
Basic knowledge: between four days and two weeks. With average physical fitness.
For many years we’re specialized in the development of snowbikes and snowbike-training-methods for people with disbilities. Because of our snowbike know-how we can learn riding a snowbike to almost everyone with handicap.
What is going to be trained when you ride a snowbike?
During the skibob lessons the following physical and mental abilities are going to be excercised and improved:
- Strength and endurance
- Isometric force
- Swiftness
- Balance
- Coordination
- Orientation
- Reaction speed
- Spine is stabilized and strengthened
- Nerve synapses will be activated
- Neuromuscular leads are significantly improved
- Excitation in a neuron system is established
- There are usually changes, the pulse pattern originating from peripheral nerves on its way to the brain
- Selective serotonin absorption is improved and through this process Serotonin, the “happiness hormone”, increases.
- Persons with incomplete paraplegia even get sore muscles, especially in the legs after the skibob lessons
- Mental strength will be built up
- Self-confidence is strengthened
Fitnessprogramm via Skype
We recommend a Skype Fitness training 3 months before starting with the skibob riding. You’ll be teached by Mr. Stalmach once a week. Additionally we recommend a training by your own 3-5 times a week.
A fitness program lasts for about 4-5 weeks
